Bleeding Control: Hands-On Skills Lab (Add-On)
Course Title: Bleeding Control: Hands-On Skills Lab (Add-On)
Description:
Take your bleeding control skills to the next level in this optional add-on training lab following the official Stop the Bleed™ course. Using TrueClot® advanced wound packing task trainers with simulated blood and realistic anatomy, this session gives students hands-on experience with lifelike bleeding scenarios — including large caliber gunshot wounds, knife/laceration injuries, and junctional (inguinal) hemorrhages.
You’ll practice proper packing, compression, and hemorrhage control using simulated hemostatic gauze and pressurized blood simulant. Our trainers feature internal bone structures, blood flow response, and deep wound cavities for realistic tactile feedback — simulating conditions far beyond what’s possible in a standard Stop the Bleed™ class.
This course is designed for:
Students who have just completed Stop the Bleed™
Public safety personnel, SAR, EMS, outdoor leaders, or anyone seeking deeper realism
Anyone looking to build muscle memory in high-stress, high-bleed environments
What to Expect:
100% hands-on, skill-focused session
Use of realistic wound models and TrueClot® blood simulant
No lectures or slides — just blood, gauze, and real-world practice
Includes junctional (inguinal) wound trainer use
Class runs approx. 45–60 minutes and takes place immediately following the main Stop the Bleed™ course
Prerequisite: Completion of Stop the Bleed™ (same-day course or prior)
Note: This is a skills lab only and does not issue a separate certification. It is intended to reinforce and deepen competency through immersive, scenario-based repetition.
